I always advise brides to opt for a trial, at least six (6) months before their wedding day, for two (2) main reasons:
- The obvious reason is to agree on a look that makes both parties happy. Your wedding day is not the occasion you want your makeup to be a surprise and by booking trial it allows you to try different looks beforehand and make any necessary adjustments for the big day.
- A wedding day is a source of anxiety and nerves for most women. Having a brash/ cold professional around you will further offset your emotions. Yes, a makeup artist is there to apply makeup but ultimately it goes beyond a simple service. Trials allow us to not only witness someone’s skill but will also help you to discern if you are comfortable enough with them to share in your most intimate moments on the best day of your life. I personally have seen my fair share of half naked bodies, mended broken dresses, consoled many emotional brides and these women all expressed their thanks for having that support.
